Look Up at the Structure

When we were in Seville, Spain, we visited The Great Mosque in Córdoba.  The former Islamic Mosque structure was built by the Umayyad ruler ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān in 784–786. In the 13th century, it was converted into a Christian Cathedral. Its Moorish character was altered in the 16th century, with the interior of a central High Altar and Cruciform Choir. The designs of the Dome of The Mihrah, and the Hypostyle Hall are incredible.

Tuesday Photo Challenge – Mirror

In August, 2016, as part of our 20th anniversary celebration, we took a trip to Spain. The architecture in Spain is magnificent. Many structures have rich history and heritage. I include two photos that reflect the mirror images of this week’s challenge.

Puente de Alcántara, 13th-Century Moorish Bridge, Toledo, Spain.

Gardens of the Partal Palace, The Alhambra, Granada, Spain.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Ambience, Fountain Light Show

This was Spectacular Fountain Light Show in Barcelona, Spain. The street was filled with thousands of people. I was fortunate that one person gave me his spot to get a better view to take these photos. The bright color light with the dancing, jumping, and swaying water gave such an awe and ambience atmosphere to the audience.
