Cee’s Fun Foto: Harvest – Earth

When I started gardening, I mixed the original soil with good soil, added nutrient. Then I planted most flowers. Some flowers grow well better than others. Some green plants go crazy so I separated them and transplant to different areas in my garden.

Years ago, I only had the orange tree from previous owner. I started to grow other fruit trees and seasonal vegetables. The fruits have been growing well. These are two crops a years for the oranges. Each crop has three or four hundreds of oranges.

We are having fresh squeezed orange juice every morning.

For the plums, I only got about 30 plums last year. With the right timing of bees to pollinate, I think there’ll be a couple hundred this year. I’m so pleased that the apple blossoms and the grape vine show promising harvest this summer.

Cee’s Photography Late Summer is time of harvest, a time of plenty, of reaping what we have worked for throughout the year. The plants and animals have grown and produced the fruit of their labour.

If our Earth is of good quality, like quality soil, we will have the ability to produce good food to nourish ourselves — 5 Elements of Nature

After Spring we move into the active time of Summer.  This is the energy of Fire, the time of activity, warmth, movement, growth and relationship.  Nature itself is moving, the plants are growing, animals are getting ready to produce young and things are busy. — 5 Elements of Nature

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Spring Wood

Wood 1

My trees definitely tell me that Spring is here. The Eucalyptus tree had a haircut in the winter, the leaves slowly start to come back. the rose bud next to the tree shows her spring pink cheeks. The maple tree is busy branching out and burst out the tender young green leaves. The orange tree is doing super well after the winter rain. It produced several hundreds of second crop of juicy Valencia oranges.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – View from the Side, Squirrel

sqirrel 1

One of my garden residents, the squirrel, is back. One day he was checking out the tree where he ate the bird eggs last year. The Gray Jay was perching on the branch staring at him. Eventually he went away. The Gray Jays have built their nest already last week getting ready to lay eggs. They built their nest higher on the tree this year. The squirrel keeps coming back to find his chances. Today, he spotted something else.

Look Up at the Structure

When we were in Seville, Spain, we visited The Great Mosque in Córdoba.  The former Islamic Mosque structure was built by the Umayyad ruler ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān in 784–786. In the 13th century, it was converted into a Christian Cathedral. Its Moorish character was altered in the 16th century, with the interior of a central High Altar and Cruciform Choir. The designs of the Dome of The Mihrah, and the Hypostyle Hall are incredible.
