Letter in the Bottle

bottle 4

This is my first attempt to write a Pantoum Poem
I want to thank Teresa Baker at https://theresabarkerlabnotes.com who encouraged me to try different Poem Form. I found one example from the link below and followed the pattern to write today’s poem.

A letter in the bottle

Left adrift aimlessly in the sea

Vessel reaches the shore one day

After floating miles away

Left adrift aimlessly in the sea

Sparks echo the sunbeams above

After floating miles away

A tug in a wandering heart to read

Sparks echoes the sunbeams above

A gentle soul gazes the glittering sea

A tug in a wandering heart to read

The message seeks to convey

A gentle soul gazes the glittering sea

Vessel reaches the shore one day

The message seeks to convey

A letter in the bottle

Wonder of Brain Maze

The power of brain maze

Innovation, it creates

Impossibility, it accommodates

Uncoordinated, it appropriates

Unrelated, it collaborates

Diversity, it associates

Vast memories, it activates

Will power, it premeditates

Pressing on, it determinates

Love languages, it communicates

His own amazing brain power, it appreciates

Home and Now-Home

Our latest travel was Spain. It was a wonderful experience. It makes us think of “where next?”

Roots originated in a land

Thousands miles from where I stand

Driven by innate wanderlust

Travel all over the world I must

Chances to visit foreign soil or home

Yet yearn to return to my NOW home

52 Weeks of Thankfulness: Week 8 – Best Gift of Books

This is the 52 Weeks of Thankfulness – Week 8 at Haddon Musings

Avid reader, my daughter as a young child

Books and books gabbled down like wild

Nursery Rhymes were memorized by five

Short stories, chapter books into them she dived

Wonderful world she wanted to explore, from

Beautiful images in her mind had stored

“1000 Places to See before You Die”

Takes her eagerly fly into the sky

What treasure you can give to a child

Books that take them into the “Wild”
