52 Weeks of Thankfulness: Week 8 – Best Gift of Books

This is the 52 Weeks of Thankfulness – Week 8 at Haddon Musings

Avid reader, my daughter as a young child

Books and books gabbled down like wild

Nursery Rhymes were memorized by five

Short stories, chapter books into them she dived

Wonderful world she wanted to explore, from

Beautiful images in her mind had stored

“1000 Places to See before You Die”

Takes her eagerly fly into the sky

What treasure you can give to a child

Books that take them into the “Wild”

Daily Prompt: Avid

  1. I only wish my daughters inherited my love for books… they both went on to study extensively, and say now that a book reminds them too much of study… when they relax they want to watch a movie…
    I just don’t get it!
    Thanks for lovely post!
    Regards. Marie.

  2. Just simply beautiful, I was talking with someone on my post. And I said I am an impulsive buyer, she said that men can’t be impulsive. I said in terms of book I am.

Whenever I go back to my home country, I bring book. My luggage usually consist of books at one time I was bringing 40kg of books and was stopped by customs lol

  3. Oh yes we are avid readers too…heheh. Nowadays more blog post reads than books but we still have loads of them (books & magazines) around to leave through when on the road and not examining the back of our eye lids.
