Breath

Huntington beach high tide

Our capacity to breathe is not a right, it’s a gift.

When lungs are attacked by disease,

Some may say, “Why me?” but “Why not?”

The clean air is a gracious creation for us.

We do not deserve it; it’s a gift.

When the air is filled with pollution,

Some rarely see the color of the sky in their whole life.

I look at the high tide and blue sky; I take a deep breath in;

And say, “Thank you Lord, for clean air, and for my life!”
